Originally from Taiwan, Robert attended the University of Toronto for his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He then attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law for his Juris Doctor before getting his Master of Law in Taxation at the University of San Diego. During his Tax LLM, Robert and his team of peers competed against other students and won the Tax Planning Clinic in Fall of 2023 at USD by achieving the best tax results of tax simulation in State and Local Tax, Research Credits, International Tax, and Mergers and Acquisition. Upon graduating, Robert worked for another boutique law firm in San Diego specializing in tax litigation for Research Credits.  

During his two years representing taxpayers, Robert has successfully defended general business credit, franchise and sales tax audits from the IRS and state tax departments. He navigates complex areas of the tax code and advises clients on a range of subject matter from Subpart F income to Qualified Small Business Stock Sale transactions. Additionally, he has is proficient on tax collections matters regarding offers in compromise, payment plans, and hardship deferrals through to acceptance for both businesses and individuals.
